Wind Energy
Wind Energy
Abstract
Energy can be divided into renewable energy and non-renewable
energy. Renewable energy such as solar, wind, and water, etc. However, non-renewable energy is any type of energy that expires after a long period of time. For example, oil
and gas and their derivatives. In this essay, I will focus on my writing about renewable-energy on achieving energy safety through
sustainable technology for a greener environment. The type of renewable energy that I am going to focus on is wind energy.
Winds are around us most of the time, but how to convert this huge amount of winds currents into effective
energy? I am going to explain more about how to use winds as energy in the
complete article.
Comparing the solar to the winds, we can see that solar energy is not available all the time. For
instance, if you are living in a country which is near to the North Pole, you can only see the sun for six months per year! Moreover, when the weather is
cloudy or rainy for a few days, the energy that is going to be saved due to the
absorption of the sunbeams will be less. All of these considerations are the disadvantages of solar energy. Therefore, using winds as energy is much
better due to sustainability. Also, you can feel winds in the
daylight, night, in a cloudy or a rainy day and so on.
About the location to establish a wind turbine
to generate energy from the winds is in an open area and higher than the sea
level, by doing that we get strong wind currents that generate energy for the entire city. One wind turbine can generate enough energy for a small town and
the more wind turbines we establish in the area means more clean green energy
that we get.
